Essential Questions For Our Upcoming Unit on The American Dream:

• ­What is the American Dream?
• How is the American Dream portrayed in art and popular culture?
• How can the American Dream be oppressive and liberating at the same time?

For the next few months, we will be focusing and discussing The American Dream and what it means to different people. 

For this Creative Project, Please Choose 1 of the options below:

1. A Photo collage that visually presents the American Dream 

          limited words

          no white space

          mostly pictures

          this should be on a poster

2. A three page analysis of a music album that critiques/provides commentary on some aspect of the American Dream

         must include background on the artist and genre of music

         a print out of at least 2 songs 

         quotes throughout in italics

3. An original painting or sketch 

4. A typed, original poem or song (at least 30 lines)

5. A Photo Essay accompanied with a one page write up explaining the message and the purpose of the pictures selected

              This should be done on Google Slides

This project is due on Thursday of Next Week. Please begin thinking about it now
