- Continue working on your independent reading projects (remember that you should have two questions completed tonight)

- Please check turnitin.com to make sure that you are enrolled in the correct period - this is going to extremely important for the research paper process.

- You can (and should) start working on your introduction/thesis.  Although it is not due until Monday at 11:59 pm on turnitin, you might want to get started early.


When writing the introduction, you should really remember to include:

- Restate the question
- Title (underlined)
- Author's full name
- Begin with the large theme (the American Dream, strength, being a survivor, education and speak generally about it. Then get more and more narrow/more and more focused
- Begin moving into your primary source (the book you are focusing on), provide background information on it.
- Explain how the theme connects to your book
- Thesis (it should be narrow, specific, and answer the question)
